Important Registration Information

Please read all the information below carefully before selecting the Registration button at the bottom of this page.

REGISTRATION FEES

Early registration (available until Jan 31, 2024): $400

Late registration (as of Feb 1, 2024): $600

Student registration: $225

Note: Registration fees are non-refundable after Mar 10, 2023.

FRIDAY TOURS AND WORKSHOPS

There are 5 different tours and a professional development workshop scheduled for Friday. Each tour has a capacity of 50 spots on a first come, first serve basis. Please register early to avoid disappointment.

 

Note: Please make sure to only select 1 option for Friday (i.e. 1 of the 5 mine tours or the professional development workshops.)

  • Nevada Gold Mines’ Carlin Mine – Processing

  • Nevada Gold Mines’ Carlin Mine – Surface

  • I-80 Gold Corp.’s Lone Tree Mine AND SSR’s Marigold Mine

The Professional Development Sessions will be held at the Convention Center in Elko.

  • If you are attending the Professional Development Workshops on Friday, consider purchasing the Wall Street Journal Bestselling book Arrive and Thrive.

HOTEL INFORMATION

The organizing committee has made arrangements with a number of local hotels. Please make sure to mention you are attending the Women in Mining 2024 conference when making your reservations.

TRANSPORTATION TO ELKO

The WIM-NV Chapter would like to emphasize the following points when considering your transportation decisions:

Air Transportation:

  • Delta Airlines (operated by SkyWest) flies into Elko Regional Airport from Salt Lake City.

  • If you are flying into Elko Regional Airport, please be advised that there are no Uber/Lyft services, only 2 taxis and limited rental cars.

Group Transportation from Salt Lake City Airport:

  • Salt Lake City Airport is the closest airport to Elko (approximately 3 1/2 hour drive).

  • Ground transportation (coach bus) is being arranged for up to 50 people per day.

  • One bus will leave Elko around 12:00 pm PST, arriving at the SLC airport around 4:30pm MST; departing the SLC airport to Elko around 5:00 pm MST, arriving back in Elko around 7:30 pm PST every day.

  • If you would like to take advantage of the group transportation, you will need to register in advance once the registration system opens on Nov 30th. 

  • There are only 50 seats available per day and it will be on a first come, first serve basis.

 

​Group Transportation During the Conference:

  • Ground transportation will be available between the Convention Center, the Conference Hotels and the Elko Airport on a circuit during the conference.

  • If you would like to take advantage of the group transportation during the conference, you will need to register in advance once the registration system opens on Nov 30th. ​
